Jewelry CAD Designer and Sculptor

We are seeking a CAD expert who specializes in digital sculpture to bring our creative visions to life in 3D.

Position Summary:

We’re looking for an experienced and imaginative Freelance Jewelry CAD Sculptor and Designer who excels in creating intricate, organic, or figurative forms using advanced 3D modeling techniques. This role focuses on sculptural CAD design—not just mechanical settings—requiring a deep artistic sense combined with technical skill suitable for fine jewelry production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create high-resolution 3D CAD sculptures of complex jewelry designs, including faces, figures, mixed elements or other abstract motifs.
• Translate sketches, design concepts or artistic direction into lifelike, production-ready 3D models.
• Refine models for casting with attention to scale, symmetry, structural integrity and manufacturability.
• Collaborate closely with product development and design teams to ensure all CADs reflect both creative intent and production feasibility.
• Provide photo-realistic renderings and clean technical files for sampling and production.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience as a jewelry CAD designer with a strong focus on sculptural design.
• Mastery of digital sculpting software such as ZBrush, MatrixGold, Rhino or Blender (ZBrush proficiency strongly preferred).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating sculpted CAD work for demi fine and fine jewelry
• Deep understanding of casting constraints, shrinkage, polishing tolerances and setting allowances.
• High attention to detail, with an eye for symmetry, proportion and visual harmony.
• Excellent communication and ability to work from loose concepts or artistic inspiration.

Nice to Have:

• Background in fine art and/or sculpture modeling
• Knowledge of traditional jewelry techniques to inform CAD workflows.
• Rendering skills in KeyShot, V-Ray or similar.
• Experience working with fine jewelry, bespoke pieces or collectible art jewelry.
