Hera Necklaces

Majestic. Savage. Queen

The name “Hera” comes directly from the contemporary Greek word Hēra, meaning “protectress.” She is the Greek Goddess of women, family and marriage, the wife of almighty Zeus, and the Queen of the Olympian deities. Hera was worshiped throughout the ancient world; she was bold, clever, and powerful. Conversely, she was commonly referred to as jealous and vengeful as a result of her persistent battle with her husband’s infidelities (combined with the deeply misogynistic culture of the ancient Greeks). Hera is most often depicted holding a royal sceptre and accompanied by a royal peacock.
