What is empowered goddess jewelry?

Empowered goddess jewelry features pieces inspired by the fiercest, most powerful mythological goddesses — warrior deities, protectors, and trailblazers from Greek, Norse, Egyptian, and Celtic traditions. These pieces are designed as wearable talismans of strength, courage, and resilience. Awe Inspired's Empowered Goddesses collection highlights figures like Athena (wisdom and strategy), Medusa (fierce protection), The Morrigan (warrior spirit), and Joan of Arc (courage under fire).

Which empowered goddess necklace should I choose?

Choose based on the quality you want to channel. Athena for wisdom and strategic thinking, Medusa for fierce protection and transformation, The Morrigan for warrior strength and determination, Joan of Arc for courage and conviction, Hecate for magic and intuition, and Kali for destruction of obstacles. Awe Inspired's Goddess Quiz at aweinspired.com can match your personality to your ideal goddess archetype.

What makes Awe Inspired goddess jewelry empowering?

Every Awe Inspired piece is designed as a personal talisman — a daily reminder of inner power. The brand was founded by Jill Johnson, a three-time breast cancer survivor who created the first Goddess Necklace to honor fellow survivors. Each double-sided pendant features a hand-sculpted goddess on one side and her sacred symbol on the reverse, and comes with a card telling her full mythology story.

Are empowered goddess necklaces good gifts?

Empowered goddess necklaces are among the most meaningful gifts for women facing challenges, celebrating milestones, or embracing their strength. Each piece carries a specific mythology story that gives the gift deeper personal significance. They're popular for birthdays, graduations, promotions, and moments when someone needs a reminder of their own power. All pieces come beautifully packaged with a mythology card.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Materials

What is gold vermeil, and how is it different from gold-plated jewelry?
Gold vermeil is a thick layer of 14k gold bonded to a base of solid sterling silver. Unlike gold-plated jewelry, which uses a thin layer of gold over brass or steel, vermeil has the weight, richness, and durability of fine jewelry. It looks and feels like solid gold and holds up beautifully over time with proper care.

Will Awe Inspired jewelry tarnish or turn my skin green?
No. Our jewelry is made only with precious metals like sterling silver and 14k gold vermeil. We never use cheap base metals that can flake, tarnish, or discolor your skin. Our pieces are hypoallergenic and made to last.

Why is Awe jewelry more expensive than other brands I see online?
We use higher quality materials and traditional craftsmanship to create jewelry that holds lasting value. That includes solid sterling silver, thick 14k gold vermeil, and natural gemstones. Each piece is designed in-house and carefully made by skilled artisans. You are not just paying for the look, you are investing in real craftsmanship and ethically sourced materials.

Where is your jewelry made?
Our designs begin in Los Angeles and are brought to life by expert jewelers in Thailand, Italy, and the United States. These partners are long-time collaborators who specialize in fine jewelry and share our commitment to quality and responsible production.

What makes your materials “ethical”?
We only work with partners who meet high standards for labor practices and environmental care. Our gemstones are sourced through trusted suppliers who prioritize transparency and sustainability. Our founder, Jill Johnson, has spent decades building these relationships to ensure integrity at every step.

Are your gemstones real?
Yes. We use only genuine natural gemstones. You will never find glass, resin, or synthetic stones in our pieces. Each stone is chosen for its natural beauty and symbolic significance.

Care

How do I care for my Awe jewelry?
To protect your jewelry, avoid contact with perfume, lotion, and water whenever possible, exactly like you would with solid gold pieces. Gently polish with the cleaning cloth included free in your order, and store in a dry, cool place. With the right care, your pieces will last for many years.

Can I wear it every day?
Yes. Our jewelry is designed for everyday wear. 14k gold vermeil and sterling silver are durable, but like all fine jewelry, they do best with a little care and attention.
