Favorite Piece of Jewlery I Own (sorry for long review, I can't rave enough about this pendant)
I've been following Awe Inspired for such a long time, but have never really had the means to afford any of their jewelry (much to my dismay). I told myself that as SOON as I got my refund from my college I was going to treat myself with a little gift. I'd been eyeing several pieces over the years, but when the Sappho pendent dropped in June I just KNEW it was the one for me. I'm a poet myself, and I love the classics and the ancient world, so it was perfect! But, it was summer, I was working part-time, and I couldn't afford it. Not to mention it sold out SO FAST! I was heartbroken.
I waited. I kept an eye on the website, refreshing and refreshing. I got to college, I did the same; refreshing and checking periodically to see if anything was going on. I'd given up hope. Fall break was coming up, I had to refund my ticket home for unfortunate reasons, I was so upset!
Right after I refunded my ticket, I got an email from Awe Inspired. I click it, assuming it's a discount for things I've seen. But it wasn't, it was for things that were back in stock! And low and behold, what was at the top of the page? The Sappho Pendant. My roommates can attest, I lost my mind! I grabbed my wallet and sprinted to the website, terrified it would sell out. I got it with a chain, and it came to $200. Okay, not bad, but not great. I began to waver. But then I remembered I'd refunded my ticket home. I'd gotten $181 back. With the discount I'd received, the necklace and chain were only $189. Using…
