In the Victorian era, these reminders were worn on the body as mourning jewelry, an ever-present symbol that time is fleeting and nothing is promised. Our Memento Mori pendant is an homage to this macabre practice. A spectral skull is held in a simple frame, its gaze alive with white sapphire eyes. Wear it as a reminder to seize every moment, for death is only in the next room. The Memento Mori Two-Toned Charm is a pendant in 14k yellow gold vermeil and 925 sterling silver, set with white sapphire.

Awe Vermeil has been perfected for superior durability with an innovative oxygen bathing technique that improves gold adherence 3x over standard electroplating. In this process, we coat a 925 sterling silver base with 3 full microns of our signature 14k yellow gold and place the piece in a 100% pure oxygen chamber to remove any moisture and prevent tarnishing between layers. The 2 microns used by other vermeil jewelers is not enough for our standards.

925 sterling silver free of allergenic metals like nickel and coated in rhodium for superior luster and durability. Our 925 sterling silver is always free of allergenic metals like nickel. To ensure superior luster and durability, it's coated in rhodium - a metallic element resistant to corrosion.

    It is very small, but the contrast of gold and silver, especially the high polish silver of the skull, really makes it stand out. The pendant is totally unique and looks great on its own or with other charms. Plus, I think the mix of metals makes it more versatile in the jewelry you can wear with it. Def recommend!
