This locket shows off a defensive spiked motif with reverse-set garnets, but inside, a miniature locket holds your secrets. Strung on a silk cord finished with spiked aglets, use it to hold forbidden loves, forbidden vices, or forbidden motives. Deep red garnet calls in passion, energy, and grounding — required ingredients for holding your own in a garden filled with snakes.

14K Gold Vermeil

Awe Vermeil has been perfected for superior durability with an innovative oxygen bathing technique that improves gold adherence 3x over standard electroplating. In this process, we coat a 925 sterling silver base with 3 full microns of our signature 14k yellow gold and place the piece in a 100% pure oxygen chamber to remove any moisture and prevent tarnishing between layers. The 2 microns used by other vermeil jewelers is not enough for our standards.

925 sterling silver free of allergenic metals like nickel and coated in rhodium for superior luster and durability. Our 925 sterling silver is always free of allergenic metals like nickel. To ensure superior luster and durability, it's coated in rhodium - a metallic element resistant to corrosion.

Care Tips
  • Gently polish with the complimentary Awe microfiber cloth included in every order to maintain luster.
  • Avoid contact with perfume, lotion, chlorine, and household chemicals: simply wipe clean with a soft cloth after any exposure.
  • Store in the embossed velvet pouch or jewelry box that comes with your order. Keep pieces separated.
  • Wear last, remove first: put jewelry on after applying skincare and fragrance.

Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty

Every piece is backed by our lifetime craftsmanship warranty. If anything goes wrong due to manufacturing – broken clasps, loose stones, soldering defects, or premature finish issues – we'll replace it free of charge.

Repairs for normal wear or accidental damage are assessed individually. We also offer repairs for 14k solid gold pieces.

    Gorgeous but can't figure out how to open it

    The necklace is very pretty and spikey! because of the spikes I can't figure out how to open it as a locket so I am only using it as a normal pendant for now.

    I do really like the vibe, however the craftsmanship and materials do not align with the price you pay. A garnet fell out after one wear. Im a jeweler and know how to properly care for and wear jewelery and this just did not meet expectations. I'm only able to get store credit which seems like a marketing ploy to get you to get something else there that is equally low quality. If this were a jewelery brand that truly stood behind their work, they would offer a refund for their shoddy work and take accountability for a faulty item.

    Exactly what I wanted

    This is beautiful and sweet and fierce and holds my word of the year close to my heart. Not sure how much it signifies to others about the movie Forbidden Fruits as I haven't seen it (and likely won't) so cannot speak to that aspect.

    The charm is cute. The rope necklace not worth it. The charm keeps falling off. Almost lost it a couple times. It tangles and it's hard to take it off. I would get the charm only.
