Deathwatch Beetle Collector Necklace

Can you hear that? Unshakable as fate, the Deathwatch Beetle keeps time in a steady march toward destiny. The iconic symbol of the Owens Family curse is reimagined as a protective talisman: its hand-carved gemstone form captured on a Collector link alongside organic botanical shapes and cleansing clear crystal quartz. Wear it as a reminder that time doesn't wait — and that some things are worth moving heaven and earth for.

    Beautiful.

Beautiful, I love it. I thought it was a little bit bigger based on the picture. It is very, very small.

    Second Times The Charm?

When I received this necklace, the oval ring link would not clasp shut properly right out of the box, so it wasn’t secure and the necklace was essentially unwearable. At first I thought I was just doing something wrong and tried several times, but nope—it simply wouldn’t clasp, and the Deathwatch Beetle pendant kept falling off.

I filed a claim with Awe Inspired, and they provided me with store credit, which I used toward a replacement oval ring link. Thankfully, the second one I received clasps securely, and I’m now able to wear the necklace without any issues.

As a whole, the necklace is delicate and dainty and would make a nice layering piece. I would recommend purchasing an extender as well, though, because it’s fairly short and sits close to the collarbone. In the product photos, the necklace appears to be styled at a longer length, presumably with an extender.

Overall, I’m happy with the necklace now that the faulty ring link has been replaced, but it was disappointing to receive it with a defective component in the first place.

Janina, thank you for sticking with us through that first faulty clasp — a piece should arrive ready to wear, and we're sorry it didn't. We're glad the claim got you a secure replacement and that the Deathwatch Beetle is finally sitting right, and your note on length and layering an extender is genuinely useful for the next person deciding. Wear it well, and reach out any time you need us.
