In darkness, there is beauty. Throughout art history, the memento mori (reminder of death) has been hidden in paintings, usually in the form of a skull. In the Victorian era, these reminders were worn on the body as mourning jewelry — an ever-present symbol that time is fleeting and nothing is promised. Our Memento Mori Earrings are an homage to this macabre practice. A spectral skull is carved into white sapphire and strung among red garnets, the stone of passion, and black pearls, symbolizing the mysteries of the inner world.

Awe Vermeil has been perfected for superior durability with an innovative oxygen bathing technique that improves gold adherence 3x over standard electroplating. In this process, we coat a 925 sterling silver base with 3 full microns of our signature 14k yellow gold and place the piece in a 100% pure oxygen chamber to remove any moisture and prevent tarnishing between layers. The 2 microns used by other vermeil jewelers is not enough for our standards.

925 sterling silver free of allergenic metals like nickel and coated in rhodium for superior luster and durability. Our 925 sterling silver is always free of allergenic metals like nickel. To ensure superior luster and durability, it's coated in rhodium - a metallic element resistant to corrosion.

  • Wear last, remove first: put jewelry on after applying skincare and fragrance.

Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty

Every piece is backed by our lifetime craftsmanship warranty. If anything goes wrong due to manufacturing – broken clasps, loose stones, soldering defects, or premature finish issues – we'll replace it free of charge.

Repairs for normal wear or accidental damage are assessed individually. We also offer repairs for 14k solid gold pieces.
