In the ancient landscape of what is now California, Saber-Toothed Cats prowled and protected. The Saber-Tooth Layering Necklace envisions a moment when long-extinct species resurface — a California that is rewilded, and presided over by an ecofeminist society. Designed in collaboration with Jhené Aiko, this piece integrates west coast mysticism with something far more primal, adding moon phases in black spinel and white sapphire. Jhené's signature symbol, the ALLEL ("a living light, eternal love"), dangles from the adjustable length at the back — a reminder of all that can transpire in an eternity.

Awe Vermeil has been perfected for superior durability with an innovative oxygen bathing technique that improves gold adherence 3x over standard electroplating. In this process, we coat a 925 sterling silver base with 3 full microns of our signature 14k yellow gold and place the piece in a 100% pure oxygen chamber to remove any moisture and prevent tarnishing between layers. The 2 microns used by other vermeil jewelers is not enough for our standards.

925 Sterling Silver

925 sterling silver free of allergenic metals like nickel and coated in rhodium for superior luster and durability. Our 925 sterling silver is always free of allergenic metals like nickel. To ensure superior luster and durability, it's coated in rhodium - a metallic element resistant to corrosion.

  • Avoid contact with perfume, lotion, chlorine, and household chemicals: simply wipe clean with a soft cloth after any exposure.
  • Store in the embossed velvet pouch or jewelry box that comes with your order. Keep pieces separated.
  • Wear last, remove first: put jewelry on after applying skincare and fragrance.

Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty

Every piece is backed by our lifetime craftsmanship warranty. If anything goes wrong due to manufacturing – broken clasps, loose stones, soldering defects, or premature finish issues – we'll replace it free of charge.

Repairs for normal wear or accidental damage are assessed individually. We also offer repairs for 14k solid gold pieces.
